About the Position

The Traveling Superintendent at Reed Construction will be responsible for overseeing all phases of construction from initial planning to completion. They will work closely with the field and project management teams to ensure that work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest degree of quality. The Traveling Superintendent will provide strong leadership, mentorship, and coaching to field personnel while upholding Reed's Core Values.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership by leading, mentoring, and holding field personnel accountable.
  • Manage Superintendents, support project planning, and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of construction documents, safety standards, and project inspections.
  • Proactively identify issues and collaborate with teams to find effective solutions.
  • Develop high-performance teams through training, coaching, and team building.
  • Maintain strong internal and external relationships while communicating project progress.
  • Travel to out-of-state projects as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Traveling Superintendent for a General Contractor.
  • 10+ years of lead project Superintendent experience on diverse projects.
  • OSHA 30 Hour and First Aid/CPR certification is a plus.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet multiple deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Goal-oriented with a sense of urgency and initiative.
